About Fulford Village Hall
Fulford Village Hall was opened in October 1973, and was built on land donated by the late Mr & Mrs T Hughes, who were local farmers in the community for many years.
It is vested in and run for the village by a management committee on a purely voluntary basis. It is a registered charity (Registered Charity 522663), and relies on fund raising events and letting of the hall for the money required to maintain and to operate.
The Management Committee is elected annually at the AGM and, together with representatives from the local organisations, is responsible for the general running of the premises.
The hall is for the benefit of the local community and with the support of the village and parish, the committee will continue to uphold the original trust purposes of providing physical, recreational, educational and social activities.
New fund raising ideas and new members are always welcome.
A Choice of Halls
Fulford Village Hall is actually two halls rolled into one!
We have a well-equipped main hall (with full kitchen and separate bar facilities), together with a smaller, well equipped hall/meeting room which enjoys its own kitchen facilities.
There are modern, well equipped toilets and all the accommodation enjoys full access for wheelchairs.
The lighting of both halls has been completely modernised recently and offers extremely good overall or indirect illumination.
The Large Hall
The Large Hall can be set out with tables and chairs and, when decorated for events such as birthdays or wedding receptions, can seat up to 150, in formal or informal layouts, or 200 in theatre style.
The adjacent kitchen enables self-catering, with crockery and cutlery provided, and a serving hatch directly into the Hall. Alternately, the Small Hall can be used to lay out a buffet, whilst the Large Hall is used for the entertainment.
The services of a Licensee are available, should a bar be required, and this is available with the Large Hall.
Features of the hall
- The stage is equipped with a proscenium arch and theatre curtains.
- An installed sound system is in place.
- Overhead stage lighting is provided with off-stage controls, and side stage power is available.
- The Hall will seat up to 200 in theatre style.
- Children’s parties are suited ideally to the facilities available at the Village Hall. Plenty of room to run around and have energetic games.
The Small Hall
The Small Hall is suitable for committee meetings, seating up to 50 people, or for younger children’s parties. It has its own kitchen facilities.
